The weather is getting colder, the days are getting shorter and holiday season is upon us!
To that end, the Uptown Business Association is holding a Window Decorating Contest.
Bring out your tinsel and lights, baubles and bows and brighten up Uptown! And maybe even win a prize…
Three cash prizes will be given to participating shops and services.
First Prize (people’s choice) $250 to the winner, $250 to the charity of their choice
Second Prize (judges pick) $150 to the winner, $150 to the charity of their choice
Third Prize (judges pick) $100 to the winner, $100 to the charity of their choice.
The contest will run from November 18th to December 9th. Windows can be completed and entered anytime from November 18th until Official Judging occurs on December 9th.
If you are an Uptown New West business who would like to participate, please send a picture of your window or storefront to Erin at ej@myuptown.ca. Images will be posted on the Uptown Facebook page and members of the public will be encouraged to vote. All participants in the voting process will be entered to win $500 worth of Gift Certificates from Uptown Businesses and Services.
