So much more than a place for books
A library card from the New Westminster Public Library will open up a world of free programs and resources. Babies and young kids will enjoy the stories and songs at storytime, teens get to try their hand at mentoring, and new residents can practice their English or study for their citizenship exam. There are poetry readings, book clubs and art displays – and that’s just the tip of the iceberg!
The library is also the place to find computer access, wi-fi and meeting room rentals, all available free of charge. With a library card, you can get information resources online; you can borrow DVDs and CDs or download free reading material to your electronic device; and you can access the great reference department.
Oh, and the library also has books! Lots and lots of books. The library is accessible by transit and easily accommodates strollers and wheelchairs.
