Uptown Live Closes Out 2026 With Bigger Stage and Over 20 Performers

The Uptown Live Summer Series wraps up its expanded 2026 season this weekend, closing out a summer of free live music with the series’ biggest showcase yet. Saturday, September 5 brings an expanded, themed Cultural Fusion day with four stages and 15 performers across Uptown New West, followed by an expanded Sunday, September 6 program with three stages and eight performers. Admission is free and the event is open to all ages.

“The variety and talent at this year’s Uptown Live Summer Series have been fantastic,” says Sheila Cameron, Executive Director of the Uptown Business Association. “We anticipate two more days of brilliant programming as we send off the season with our biggest weekend of the summer. Multiple venues with music, dance, and celebration will offer opportunities to slow the pace and enjoy live entertainment while shopping or running errands in Uptown.”

The final weekend will also feature a bigger stage and production at Uptown Plaza on Saturday, including a special, hour-long headlining set by Aaron Wong & The Del-Fi Destroyers: Elvis Tribute. Saturday’s Cultural Fusion day also activates JJ Bean, and Rocky Point Ice Cream, with performances spanning singer-songwriter, traditional dance, and mixed-genre sets from across the local music community. The 700 block of Sixth Street will come alive, centred around performances at Beem Plaza and Mi Tierra Latina’s two-year anniversary party, where attendees can watch for deals and discounts on the sidewalks. Sunday’s program moves through Uptown Plaza, JJ Bean, and Royal City Centre Plaza with a lineup of bands and solo performers to close out the series.

“Live music can create moments that stay with us and deepen our sense of belonging,” says Adrienne Maniezzo, Manager, Philanthropy, Corporate Citizenship, TD Bank Group. “That’s why we’re proud to support opportunities that help more people access events like the Uptown Live Summer Series. It’s one way we help strengthen connections in our communities.”

As the 2026 series draws to a close, the Uptown Business Association thanks the performers, partners, and residents who came out throughout the summer to explore Uptown New West’s neighbourhoods, discover local talent, and support local businesses.
